TRIP OVERVIEW
Experience the towering presence of Mt. Fuji as you trek through the crater of its most recent eruption, before reaching the summit of Mt. Hoei (2,693 m). From the top, take in sweeping 280-degree views of the surrounding landscape, along with a striking, close-up perspective of Mt. Fuji’s summit. This unique route offers a fresh appreciation for Japan’s most iconic mountain.

After summiting Mt. Hoei, we descend back to Fujinomiya 5th Station, making our way down a scree field of deep, loose volcanic rock. The route remains largely above the tree line, traversing rugged terrain shaped by ancient lava flows.

​Descend almost 1,000m on volcanic lava flows while taking in views of the mammoth Hoei crater as you traverse from Fuji's highest base camp to its lowest. This one-way trek will take you through the Magic Gardens and then up the summit of Mt. Fuji's 4th highest peak at 1,804m!
