This trek will take you from the foothills to the summit of the 2nd highest summit on Mt. Fuji! Experience the dwarfing magnificence of trekking through the crater of Mt. Fuji's most recent eruption before peaking out on the summit of Mt. Hoei at 2,693m.

Offering a 280 degree view of the surrounding area and a close-up view of the summit itself, this epic trek will give you a new appreciation for the magnificence of Japan's most iconic mountain. After summitting, we descend to the lowest base camp via a long, open scree field, full of loose and deep volcanic rocks before arriving at our end point at 1,440m. The trek is through and old growth forest at first before cutting above treeline; from there it's exposed rocky lava flows.

Challenge level: Advanced/Expert- a steep uphill to the summit is followed by a long descent on exposed volcanic rock with no tree coverage the entire time
