On the Storm Chaser, we travel well and stay in lodgings which are nothing short of top-notch from beginning to end.
General lodging notes
All of our lodgings are 4 star accommodation, top-notch. After a long day of skiing and storm chasing, you can rest assured, a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed.
Day 1-3 Niseko (3 nights)
Designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, each of our rooms in the 4-star hotel contain private spa tubs and safes. Each room has free Wi-Fi and 32-inch plasma TVs are equipped with digital channels and DVD players. Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations with deep soaking bathtubs. Bathrooms also include hair dryers, slippers, and complimentary toiletries. All units at this 4-star hotel have kitchens with stovetops, full-sized refrigerators/freezers, microwaves, and coffee/tea makers.
And at the end of the day, take your last run and ski right to the base of the hotel before jumping into the hotel's own Onsen hot springs complete with both indoor and outdoor bathing areas.
If you don't want to eat/drink at the hotel, take the hotel's shuttle to the downtown bar/restaurant area every day (10 minutes) or, your guide will also do a round trip to pick up/ drop off participants.
Note that this hotel is a ski-in from the Niseko-Moiwa ski area. You can ski directly to this area from the Niseko-United resorts or take a 5 minute shuttle ride over.
Day 4-7 Asahikawa Storm Chasing (3 nights)
Our hotel in Asahikawa is centrally located in the second largest city in Hokkaido. Not only does our hotel boast some classy architecture dating from its status as the first western style hotel in the 1920's, its also a short distance from multitudes of eating and drinking facilities.
About 1 hour away from some of the best snow in the world in any direction, this hotel is a great base to come back to before deciding where to storm chase the next day.
Each room features free Wi-Fi and a refrigerator. Bathrooms feature shower/tub combinations, complimentary toiletries, and bidets. Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments, and facials (not included). After a day on the slopes, you can relax in one of the 5 spa tubs (additional ￥1,000).
