Mountain huts on Mt. Fuji were originally built as emergency shelters and exist to this day as shelters from harsh mountain conditions. Our hut offers simple dorm style accommodation. Because the mission of huts on Mt. Fuji is to provide safety and shelter to as many hikers as possible, it is not possible to pay for extra space. The mountain hut will provide the essential shelter and food you need to reach Mt. Fuji's summit.
It is important to note that huts on Mt. Fuji, including this hut, do not provide a heated dry room for drying out wet gear. Be sure to climb with spare, dry clothes kept in dry bags so you will have a change of clothes in the event you show up at the mountain hut in wet weather. Mt. Fuji mountain huts offer a fantastic cultural experience unique to Mt. Fuji and are a great way of meeting fellow climbers, exchanging stories, and experiencing camaraderie that you will never find in a five star hotel. |
