​When you book your Mt. Fuji tour online, you will have the option of renting various hiking equipment through Fuji Mountain Guides. Renting means that you won't have to haul all of your outdoor gear through airports and train stations. Here's how it works in three easy steps.

Shell Jacket

Jacket and pants made of waterproof, but breathable material help keep moisture and wind out, keeping you warm and dry. These are made of a waterproof/breathable fabric. 

Rain Pants

Dry Bag

Ultralight waterproof bags help your gear stay dry. Use these to store anything that you definitely don't want to get wet. 10, 18, 25 and 33 liter dry bags available.

Insulating Mid-Layer Jacket

Wear this mid-layer jacket and stay warm during the night summit climb, as well as in windy/rainy conditions on the mountain. Choose a size which can be layered over your base layers and under your shell jacket. 

Hiking Poles

Poles help reduce stress to your ankles, knees, and back.
They are great for keeping balance, which in turn leads to easier hiking on your way up and down. This rental includes a set of 2 poles. 

Hiking Boots

Stabilize your ankle and keep your feet dry with waterproof, ankle supporting hiking boots. Various sizes available for men and women. 

Headlamp

Required for traveling in the dark. Very early starts are the norm to make it to the summit for sunrise. Headlamps will light the trail while keeping your hands free. 

Gaiters

Ankle-length gaiters that cover the top of your boot to the area above your ankles. These will help pebbles and dirt stay out of your boot. If it's wet out, it will protect from splashes too. 

Backpack & Pack Cover

This 25-30 liter pack with hip belts will help keep the weight off your shoulders, and spine. They transfer the weight to your waists, making it more comfortable to carry heavy loads. Backpack comes with a pack rain cover.

Beanie

Cancellation Policy
Fuji Mountain Guides has limited inventory of its rental equipment and certain items will sell out before a tour commences. A last minute cancellation may also result in the lost opportunity of reserving this particular item to other interested parties. For this reason, we have the following cancellation policy for all rental equipment.

Cancellations made under 48 hours before rental date: 50% cancellation fee
Cancellations made up to 3 days before any given rental date will not be charged any cancellation fees.
