Mountain huts on Mt. Fuji were originally built as emergency shelters and exist to this day as shelters from harsh mountain conditions. All huts offer simple dorm style accommodation and in recent years some huts have begun offering private capsule/private room options as well. Because the mission of the huts is to provide safety and shelter to as many hikers as possible, it is not possible to pay for extra space in the dormitory rooms. We are currently only accepting reservations for dormitory rooms at Taishikan. All reservations include 2 meals, futon, sleeping bag and a pillow.
It is important to note that huts on Mt. Fuji, including Taishikan, do not provide a heated dry room for drying out wet gear. It is important to climb with spare, dry clothes kept in dry bags so you will have a change of clothes in the event you are to show up at the mountain hut in wet weather. |
